The Atlanta Braves lost to the Dodgers thanks to a 9th inning, 3 run walk-off home run from the Dodgers Mr. Clutch, Andre Either. The Braves got a good start from Derek Lowe only to have Soriano, be plagued by lack of control and not being able to throw the ball down in the zone. This time of the year every game is crucial for the Braves and this is the 2nd time in a week that they have lost to a walk off home run after leading going into the 9th. This loss is deflating for the Braves after having a mini offensive explosion the previous two games against the Padres. The Braves seem to be without a player who can take over a game in a late inning situation, when was the last time a Braves player came up to the plate and you knew the game was about to be over? As I was watching the game last night, after Soriano went 2-0 to Either you could feel that Either was about to end it…. In fact my roommate said, “he is about to hit it out” as soon as he spoke those words the ball barely cleared the right field fence and the Braves season took one more step towards irrelevancy. If that was to happen should the Braves call up the hot-hitting phenom Jason Heyward to start planning for next, or should they wait until they are 100 % sure Heyward is ready as not to risk another Francouer situation?
